University of Debrecen launches AI competition for students

The Faculty of Informatics at the University of Debrecen has announced the DEIK.AI Challenge 2026, a competition open to all university students that aims to discover innovative artificial intelligence ideas, support talented teams, promote hands-on experience, and showcase existing AI solutions. The competition is supported by the Innovation Ecosystem Centre.

University of Debrecen launches joint degree programmes with Chinese universities

The University of Debrecen has signed cooperation agreements with two leading Chinese universities to establish joint degree programmes, further strengthening its international education portfolio. The agreements were signed on Thursday with the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) and the East China University of Technology (ECUT), with the first programmes expected to begin in 2027.
