On the occasion of the 183rd anniversary of the birth of Imre Pekár, a ceremony was held on Wednesday at the monument of the mechanical engineer, inventor, and mill technologist on Füredi út at the Füredi út monument, the Hungarian and Hajdú-Bihar County Chamber of Engineers.
In 1999, the Hajdú-Bihar County Organization of the Mechanical Engineering Scientific Association set a monument to Imre Pekár, the sculptor Lajos Győrfi, in front of the shopping center on Füredi út, on the former site of the István Steam Mill in Debrecen.
