Students and teachers of the Department of English Linguistics hop on the bike to visit Kráter-tó, a lake that came to exist as a result of a dramatic gas explosion in 1961.Date: Saturday (19th of May) 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Meeting point: in front of the Great Church
Program: A bike tour to Kráter-tó together with the Department of English Linguistics of the University of Debrecen. The lake is small natural reserve, a charming spot for weekend outings. It is a convenient ride away from Debrecen. Bring your own bike and join us for a day out.
Length of the tour: approximately 40 km altogether.
Route: via Ondód, and through the fields from there on.
Sights: Kráter-tó, the fields (just on the edge of Hortobágy), the local sights in Ondód and Nagyhegyes (optional), and possibly the lake at Látókép (optional).
