Every year hundreds of thousands of forints goes into the fight against graffiti. During the renovation in the city centre the Bocskai statue and the Memorial of Convicts had to be cleaned from graffitis. The Police initiated 23 proceedings against people who made graffitis in 2009 in Debrecen.
