Hungary’s reformed churches are suspending their public worship services and events from Monday until the end of the month, the Hungarian Reformed Church’s synod has said.

Six Hungarian opposition parties have demanded the creation of a “National Vaccination Commission” to take over control of the vaccination programme from the government.

Another 400,000 people will have been vaccinated against coronavirus in Hungary by Wednesday, placing the country in first place in Europe, Gergely Gulyás, the prime minister’s chief of staff, told public broadcaster Kossuth Rádió on Sunday.
