According to the Hungarian National Institute of Environmental Health (NIEH), dust pollution has reached the unhealthy level in Miskolc and Nyíregyháza.
Air quality index shows that the quality of air has reached the critical level in Budapest, Debrecen, Kecskemét, Putnok, Salgótarján, Sajószentpéter, Vác, Székesfehérvár and Várpalota.
