Gray cranes (Grus grus) on Hortobágy, near Nagyhegyes on October 17, 2022. The Hortobágy National Park is one of Europe’s largest gathering places for cranes, where they continuously arrive from the second half of September from Northern Europe and stay in the plains until the onset of severe frosts.
