There was a big gas explosion in a block-of-flats on Csapó street, Debrecen during the night hours on 4th November, 2020.
An elderly woman left a lit candle in her flat after leaving her home in the night hours on 4th November, 2020 on Csapó street, Debrecen, in the so-called Dollárház. This lit candle caused a fire, then a gas explosion ruining the whole flat and leaving 80 other flats in the house without gas service for several days.
Members of the municipality of Debrecen – with members of the Debrecen Karitatív Egyesület and Nagykonyha Kft. – helped the residents of the house with 150 portions of warm food on Thursday (5th November).
Nobody got injured in the accident.
