The quarantine is over; the Debrecen Zoo opens on Tuesday.
An 18 year old lion was killed by anthrax on 10 April, then a leopard died of pneumonia and a few days later a young giraffe perished for twisted bowel. Since then the zoo is closed.
Now the zoo is safe again: the whole territory was disinfected and the animals and employees were vaccinated.
As the disinfection was finished yesterday afternoon, the zoo opens on 29 April.
