On New Year’s Eve, paramedics provided assistance in 3,823 cases, and 1,783 patients received care at medical on-call services.
According to Pál Győrfi, in twelve cases ambulances were called for hand, face, or eye injuries related to the use of pyrotechnic devices.
Due to excessive alcohol consumption, 244 people were transported to hospitals, 38 of whom were minors, he added.
