This December, Debrecen will sparkle in a whole new light as a brand-new event takes the stage — the Ice Flower Carnival (Jégvirágkarnevál). Inspired by the city’s world-famous Flower Carnival, this enchanting winter celebration will transform flowers into frost, and summer colors into shimmering ice.
On December 13, Debrecen will dress in ice and light: music will fill the air, the scent of Christmas will linger, and laughter will echo through the festive streets. The Ice Flower Carnival promises a day when even snowflakes seem to dance — where brass bands, children’s giggles, and the sweet aroma of chimney cake blend into a true winter fairy tale.
