Hungary’s consumer price index increased by an annual 2.9% in October, while prices were 0.6% higher compared with September, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said. The price of alcohol, tobacco and food increased significantly in the past year, with spirits and tobacco averaging increases of 8.4% while food prices went up by 5.4%.
