Hungary’s cash flow-based budget deficit, excluding local councils, amounted to 575.4 billion forints (1.7bn) at the end of October, reaching 57.6% of the 998.4 billion full-year target, the finance ministry said in a preliminary release. In October alone, the budget was 271.8 billion forints in the red.
The central budget ran a 534.3 billion forint deficit at the end October, while separate state funds were 80.8 billion in the black and the social insurance funds were 121.9 billion in the red.
