Between the 13th and the 14th of October a traditional sweet chestnut festival will be organized in Velem (Vas county, 8 kilometres from Kőszeg) for the most common tree of the area is chestnut.
The main attractions of the festival are roasted chestnuts and other kinds of gastronomic specialities. Apart from tasting delicious meals you can enjoy the performances of musicians, dancers, puppeteers, market comedians and many more.
