The bicycle route in Debrecen is expanding.
A new bicycle route is being built in Szabó Lőrinc Street. The combined walking and bicycle paths will go as far as Akadémia Street. The local government of Debrecen is planning to expand the Balmazújváros road-Füredi Street-Csigekert Street hub with the new investment. A 24 km long route has already been constructed for cyclists but the city’s cycle route system will reach a length of 48 km in the future.
