The 19 lecturers of the University of Debrecen may participate in the general meetings of the public body of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA) as non-academic members for the next three years. The new non-academic members will take up their duties from 1 March.

SUBAN Kéziműszer Hungary Zrt. Provided anatomical exercise kits to the first-year students of the Faculty of General Medicine and the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Debrecen. The donation, worth about 4 and a half million forints, can be received by students in Hungarian and English.

The University of Debrecen (DE) has concluded a strategic agreement with the National Health Research Agency (NEKÜ) Nonprofit Kft in the Mirror Room of the Ministry of Human Resources (EMMI) in Budapest.

The largest regional show jumping competition in Debrecen in recent years was held on Saturday at the university riding school. 83 competitors from 32 sports associations took part in the competition organized at the Debrecen Equestrian Academy in 9 races, riding a total of 166 stars.

Special notes were developed and additional internships were organized for students at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Debrecen within the framework of an EU tender. The multiannual program aims to increase the quality of training and reduce drop-out rates.

Students’ awareness, skills, and drop-out rates have improved thanks to a multi-year EU project at the Faculty of Economics. Among other things, tutoring and language courses, various training were held and the curriculum was developed with the support of the application.

With the lifting of the epidemiological restrictions on March 7, it is no longer necessary to wear a mask at the University of Debrecen. An exception, however, is UD patient care facilities, where the mask is still mandatory for workers, students, and patients.
