Wage Growth Slows to 8.5 % in October

The government is inviting bids to disburse 140 billion forints (EUR 380.1m) in support for boosting business research, development and innovation, Finance Minister Mihály Varga said.
Lenders have disbursed 22 billion forints of credit in the framework of the Green Home Programme of the National Bank of Hungary (NBH) since the launch of the scheme on October 4. Banks signed 753 contracts for the credit by the end of 2021, the NBH said.
The government has saved 755 billion forints by postponing several public investments, allowing it to lower its 2022 budget deficit target to 4.9% of GDP from 5.9% and continue reducing the public debt, Mihály Varga, the finance minister, said.
Hungary’s seasonally-adjusted Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) climbed to 64.8 points in December from 52.2 in November, Halpim, the organisation that compiles the index, said on Monday.
